2010 NBA Season Preview

This is the most anticipated NBA season in a very long time. So many different story lines. The Miami heat and their "Big 3", Lakers quest for a 3peat, Celtics out to prove they aren't too old, Kevin Durant just might be this seasons Most Valuable Player...    

  Miami Heat: This will definitely be a great team, but don't be too quick to name them greatest team of all time, and give them over 72 wins... Yes there will be games where the heat will win by 40 and look like the Harlem Globetrotters... But despite the fact that they have 2 of the top 3 players in the league, I currently have them ranked as the #2 team... In the state of florida, and the #4 team In the east... 

Here's Why...

• Boston added Shaq who even at the age of 40 can still be an absolute terror in the post... Add to him Superstar Paul Pierce, Superstar Kevin Garnett, Lights out shooter Ray Allen, Playmaker Rajon Rondo and great bench play and the Boston Celtics just might have the best team on paper in the entire NBA this year...   

• Similar to Boston, Orlando has its on terror in the post in Dwight Howard... Who is someone that Miami will have absolutely no answer to offensively or defensively... 

• While Miami has 2 great players, and 1 good player... The Chicago Bulls has a stellar starting 5, and last I knew a team of 5 will beat a team of 3 any day of the week....

 Despite all of this Miami still has the potential to be as good as advertised as this may be the closest the East has been in a long time.

1. If the Heat is going to win it has to be done with Defense. With The Shot blocking ability of Lebron James, and the 1 on 1 defensive play of Dwayne Wade this has the potential to be just as good as the Celtics defensively.
2. They must gel as a team. Basketball is a team game, and a complete team will beat a bunch of Superstars any day (Just look how the 2004 Pistons dominated the Hall of Fame Lakers with Kobe, Shaq, Karl Malone, Gary Payton)
3. They must stay Healthy. Injuries can deter any team.
4. They must all know their roles. Lebron, Wade, and Bosh will not all score 30 + a night.... They wont all score 20+ a night... Someone (Probably Bosh) will only be scoring about 15 points a night and they must accept that role. 
5. This is eithers Lebron James team or its Dwayne Wades Team... It cant be both... Come Clutch time someone has to take the final shot...

Western Confrence Finals

 Oklahoma Thunder (57-25) vs  Los Angeles Lakers  (63-19)
For a change the Lakers are lucky to be playing in the West. Thunder will propose their playoff greatest Challenge in the west (once again) but the Thunder are a few years away and the Lakers have too much depth, experience, and History in their corner. Lakers in 5

Eastern Confrence Finals:

 Miami Heat (62-20) vs  Boston Celtics.(59-23)
On paper has potential to be a classic series. Lebron, Wade, Bosh vs Pierce, Allen, Garnett...
The NBA Dream of a Kobe vs Lebron Final gets delayed for at least another year, as Boston will get their rematch. Boston in 6

Los Angeles Lakers   vs  Boston Celtics.
Lakers in 7...
