Only in The Hood do you Learn this...

We all know of the negative stereotypes of growing up in the hood... They say you'll be dead before 21... They say you'll catch a STD and your D**k will fall off... and They say the only way to escape is either Rapping or Basketball...

But no one ever speaks of the important life skills that can only be learned in the hood.

1.  Common Sense... I never realized so many people dont have this until I attended a college that consists of mostly high class privleged citizens, or rich white people.. what ever you prefer... Many of them are very academiclly smart but when it comes to simple common sense they are dumb as rocks (Its Not Mean If ItsTrue lol)
2. Ability to cope with stress... Suburban people actually go to the emergency room for stuff like depression and exhaustion... Not saying their problems arent serious... BUT... Those arent serious problems, lol... Thats called Life...
3. Natural Instinct... We all seen scary movies where the main charachters (Usually dumb white girls) hear a sound and instead of going with their natural instinct and running like hell, they get on their scooby doo mode and investigate it only to be killed minutes later. This would never... ever... ever ever ever ever ever happen to someone from the hood... #1 rule in the hood is we see one person run, we all run... Ask questions later... lmaooo
4. Creativity... Alot of People in the hood werent blessed with expensive technology and a million tv channels... For fun they got creative... No driveway for a basketball hoop? No problem... Get a crate and tie it to the pole... Basketball hoop...   No Baseball bat and gloves? No probem... Get a hand ball from the spanish store down the street for a dollar, and a broom stick and there ya go... Stickball game (They need to add this to the olympics lol)... The list goes on... 
5. Respect...  We all seen the kids who yells at their parents, curse at their parents, and even physically strike their parents. Any one from the hood can agree that if they ever did any of the above to their parents it would be their last act. "I brought you in this world, and I will take you out of it"  lmaooo
6. How to Laugh at crazy situations... If you have never lived in the hood you wont understand...  but you really do see the craziest things in the hood... lmaooo

Of course their are many negative aspects of the hood such as people settling with mediocracity  and not fulfilling their destiny, and Im not suggesting anyone move out of their middle class home back into the hood, but just know you cant judge a book by its cover.
